Cafe' Cafe' Fine Dining Review

"Your diet is a bank account. Good food choices are good

investments."
-Bethenny Frankel-

This is actually my third time to Cafe' Cafe' for dinner. Twice was being 'belanja' by people hehee...:DD
the food there was really nice tho a lil bit pricey. But it is worth the price tag. I would say this restaurant  has the best western food in KL town. Others are just 'ma ma tei' and expensive. Sommore, i wouldn't mind to add on a few 10-20ringgits to get this exquisite taste rather spending rm50++ on lousy steaks cooked by inexperienced people.

To start off the night, waiters would serve you with a complimentary mocktail drinks. I tasted two, one was a zesty orange, the other minty apple with cucumber. i prefer the orange one. And also bread and butter served hot from the oven~~ mmmmm~~ yummy~~

p/s; i did not took a lot of pictures as the restaurant is very dark inside. Lights were dim, and i cant read the menu actually. hahaa I would have to ask for a pen light from the waiters. Lol....oh ya you would need to make a reservation to dine in, else you will be place in the inner corners of the restaurant. Not as bad, just that it is near to the toilets lollllll....i made a complain before about their toilet smell. Immediately they took note and make amendments. Second time i went there, no more bad odours.

A free dessert with 4 types of cake on it. Dont know how much it cost. My friend enquire about it and the waiter says its on the house for us to try cause' that night we ordered a lot of dishes and wine. The benefits of dining with ma' generous and love of good food friends lol....xD

this is the grilled steak..cooked medium rare...RM75++

and this is duck liver, wht's the name again in French?? ohhhh Foie Gras~~ RM30++ cant remember exactly

Chicken breast cooked to perfection~usually i dont like breast meat. But this was cooked until it is so tender and soft. Aromatic~~ yum yumm~~ RM60++

Tuna Salad Rm30+

highlight of the night! Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. RM30. This is the best best best chocolate cake i have tasted!!! Not a regular sweet tooth especially chocolate, but this cake changed my mind. we ordered two after tasting it. Once you cut through the cake, warm chocolate larva came flowing out, the aroma spikes your smell buds making you feel oohh~~ fantastic! hahaa....the cake is crispy in the outside and soft, warmy inside. It taste like no other cake! Seriously this is the best chocolate cake ever! Would come again for this cake.

there is green tea, strawberry cheese, german cheese and a macaron~ too sweety for me

and this is duck confit! RM70++ Veryy good! Taste like itik panggang actually...but its a western itik panggang hahaaa The duck skin was very crispy 'krisp krisp' and its not oily at all.

this is  tiramisu drenched in vodka.....not to our liking...nothing special...and the vodka spoiled the whole thing...presentation wise also failed....at first impression we thought they just threw the cake in and flooded it with alcohol......ewww.....

My dishes on the first visit was seafood spaghetti, RM50+ (with big scallops!) and Lamb Shoulder in Red Wine  Stew RM59++. These two were the dishes that i would recommend cause after you finished it all, you will be full already. Other dishes a more smaller in portion. Too bad i did not took pictures of it, cause that time I was too hungry and galloped everything with my friend. Overall i would rate this restaurant 4 and half stars over 5. :)

Naruko All-In-One High Potency Moisturizer Review

Bought this new moisturizer from Watson. RM29 only.

The ingredients list. It has cucumber and bearberry extract, known for its good moisturizing properties. Furthermore it has no parabens and fragrances in it! 100% natural made

This is how the liquid looks like. Colourless and odourless. It has a little bit of consistency, like Hada Labo's Hyluronic Acid Lotion. And it is not watery at all. With only two small drop, it is enough to cover my whole face. Easily spread and value for money.  The best part is this moisturizer really walk the talks! The next morning, i woke up to a super bouncy skin. As if you just did yourself a facial mask. My makeup was able to last longer with this moisturizer prep. So I would recommend this to people with super dry skin. Give it a try! Naruko has again  become my  favourite brand. For best result, combine use with the Night Gelly. Any flavour would be fine. I used the Rose Hydrating Night Gelly before, and it works wonders. But Naruko has discontinued it. So now I am using theTaiwan Magnolia Flower Night Gelly. Equally splendid! with anti-aging properties. Mr. Niu Er's night gelly is superb and for me it works like serum/essence so i do not need any additional one.

Le' Au Naturale Deep Set Eye Makeup For Monolids ~

"The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural."

                                                              -Calvin Klein-

My friend Addrine, taught me this technique.
I m a monolid girl but blessed with a deeper eye socket. So my eyes is able to create this look.
But addrine says that anyone can do this eye makeup. Just that the deeper socket would give a plus.

The key product to create this look is loose powder and a matte shading palette. If you do not have these, your eyebrow palette would be an alternative. I personally preferred KATE's eyebrow palette.

The eye makeup can make your monolid look like a double eyelid! It accentuates the eyes giving it a more deep sultry look.

The shading powder that i use. Only the dark brown. Use a small brush to draw your socket line and blend it lightly. Then cover with a dab of loose powder to make it blend with your skin tone. It may look weird at first but after applying and blending it with eyeshadow, everything will be perfect!

I use the light brown color as base then deepen the outer 1/3 of my eyelid with the darker brown shadow, blending it together with the socket line made just now. Finish it with a glitter white liner for the lower waterline. And highlight your brow bone with the pearl white shimmer shadow. This is a must! This limited edition palette is from KATE. I have used it for more than 2 years now. And it is still good!!

Here's some selfie of this eye makeup to share.

See that socket line?? Seriously lovin' this eye makeup! It looks so natural. Thanks Addrine!!

And this is Addrine :D

wink*wink*

Monolid transformation!

this is an edited version....ahaks

And now the crazy selfie starts

Seriously i dont look like having a monolid~

Hope you girls/boy enjoy my entry~*.<

Beauty Blender for RM18 only!!

Got this superb makeup tool that has been trending since last year. I only get to know about it from gossmakeupartist from youtube.

Coincidently, a friend of mine who is a makeup artist as well, sells this recon product. Well, it is not the original one but serves its' purpose well. Here's my review....

The outer packaging.

Great sponge quality, able to absorb large amount of water without dripping.

Not to forget, this beauty blender has great resilience and its super bouncy and gentle to skin!

To its normal size.

Pros:
-cheap
-lightweight
-vibrant/attractive colors
-value for money
-reusable for many times
-creates a flawless blend of foundation
-can be use on other products as well including loose powder application!
-the pointy tip can help you reach small/difficult areas e.g corner of your eyes & nostril folds

Cons:
-some people might find it difficult to use at first. This is because you are not used to it yet and the blender can be a lil' tad too hard. But no worries, after a few usage, the sponge will get softer and you will find yourself liking the texture.

- Difficult to clean. I would recommend DAISO cleanser for this. It cost only RM5 and it works wonders for cleaning this beauty blender. Find it easily at any DAISO stores at the beauty section. :)

If you girls are interested on this product, it is selling at RM18 per piece and RM30 for two (both including postage by PosLaju). Kindly watsapp/sms to my friend Nicole +60168988779 for order or FB inbox here at her page https://www.facebook.com/nicole88chea

Nicole also provide tip top personal makeup session (one on one basis), with theoretical slides and hands on. She also provides bridal/dinner makeup and hairdo.

Here's a short video to share from gossmakeupartist.

And lastly a short video on how to use the beauty blender.

Vintage Makeup Class

"The two wings of your CAT EYE might not be identical.
So ACCEPT IT."

                                                                               ~a quote from tumblr~

So last week was my Vintage makeup class.
I brought Nyet Ying my friend as a model. It is very sweet of her to purposely come with a floral basics as it really complement to the vintage look later on. ^^

Well, my tutor taught me more to a 1960's makeup style rather than the usual glamorous classic vintage makeup that i was highly anticipating....hehee anyway we had a lot of fun + messy situation too~
In the example pictures below you can see the upper eyelid liners are much more longer and it covers the whole socket line. But on my makeup class, my tutor taught me with shorter liners, forgot to ask them why..maybe shorter liners look more natural?? hmmmm

the 1960's makeup look

Based on my observation, vintage makeup consist of the following features:
- Very white skin base, powdery smooth finish (matte)
- Winged/highly arched , thin, monocolor (usually very dark) brows
-Winged eyeliners, thicker at the tail
- matte eyeshadows (combi of brown + white/whitish yellow)
-red chilli lipstick, matte type
-pale blushers
-and the trademark mole can be placed according to preferences hehee........

so voila, here is wht i did on tht day!

a before and after! not quite satisfied tho..due to repeated corrections..haih...gotta improve more

lovin' this pic

went bck home and tried out this look on myself
